old dog

I think I'm losing it.

Somedays I should just stay in bed.
As much as I wanted to get my foot in the door,
at the MIA, (museum) It didn't happen.
Every ten years they allow Minnesota artists to
enter an art piece to display to the public.
I was hoping to, but missed the deadline.
So I'll cry like a baby...wwwaaaaaaaaa!!!!

I feel foolish, my poor ego, it's crushed.
I'm just an old dog, with old tricks.
Think I'll do a self portrait.

That is a funny dog illustration! I can't tell you how many deadlines I have missed. Once you have missed something you wanted to be involved in, you know better when it comes around again. You just need to begin keeping an artist's calendar. It takes awhile to get into the rhythm of setting up a schedule for things like that. You have to put it on the calendar well in advance from when it is due. You'll do it next year!

This is just to funny Bill :) :) :) Sorry you missed the deadline but don't feel crushed...you share your wonderful art with all of us bloggers here and we thank you for it and appreciate your talents~~~

Good advice Celeste!
I'm also learning not to put much trust in others, or not to be too trusting.
In either event, I'm kicking myself for missing a cherished opportunity.
If I want something done right, I'll have to do it myself!( Wow, that sounds tuff!: )

Hey Bill- don't feel bad, there are enough art exhibit opportunities just around the corner. I missed the Northern Lights deadline- I forgot all about it!
Also, I peeked into the Foot in the Door just this afternoon, because I didn't want to go tonight if 5000 people were showing up. It was roped off, but I looked as best I could, but couldn't find my own artwork! It's hung floor to ceiling, and it's neat and all, but I don't know if it's a great opportunity for your artwork to be noticed and 'discovered!'. Anyway in a few days I'll try to find it, hopefully hung in a decent place! Also, love your poor old dog!

Thanks Judy! I'm gonna go and look for your painting. I'll be ok. I'll wait till it calms down some, the crowds make it tuff to enjoy the art.
