Mermaids dream

This is a painting I did from a painting by Marc Chagall.
I took artistic licence and changed a few things.
I embelished the flowers, and put a tropical beach in.
Originally this is a portrait of his wife.
However I decided to make it Renee! (my wife)

We had a fun Valintines Day.

you have a whimsical streak--I like that you paint lots of different ideas and subjects. I'm tuned in to see what's up next!

Hi Bill!... Love this piece of "whimsy"!! I'm sure that both Chagall and Renee would be pleased with your efforts!

Nice that you reinterpret certain passages... like the beach... and those VERY strategically placed Valentine Hearts!... "You" cagey Devil!

Good painting!
Warm regards,
Bruce

How beautiful and wonderful this homage to your wife is. She's a lucky gal and also a saint if that is really your self portrait in "old dog". Just kidding!!! You are as awesome as a husband as you are an artist Bill. Thanks for the cheers and celebratory 'high 5'. You're one cherished blogger pal!

I can see the Chagall influence. And your wife must be a lot younger than me! (wink)
