meowie

An old friend stopped by to paint, so I caught/ did this pose of my cat. He moves  a lot!

James Gurney did a post about an artist that painted farm animals. They don't pose, so
 it's a good practice.(They move around a lot)
I love my cat. I wonder if I could paint him from memory?

...I know your cat didn't stay in that spot for very long...so I bet you did paint him from memory more or less! ...love the bricks in the background. A cat makes a home a cozy place!

Love this painting, Bill...the whole look of it! I love cats, but my hubby doesn't, so I enjoy paintings of cats very much :)

Bill, Yesterday I called you and learned your phone has been disconnected. Just checking on you. This is a tough season to get through but we'll do it. A breakthrough will happen for you when you least expect it so please "keep the faith". Blessings coming your way and you need to expect them. . .. . Nora

Thanks Celeste! I had everything blocked in, then he decided to jump down to eat. So I did sort of paint from memory.
My cat welcomes me home always,
So I always feel at home!

Thanks Jan! Cats are like black licorice, you either like it or you don't. I happen to love black licorice!

Wonderful painting Bill. You would have to be very fast to catch a cat in a painting unless he was sleeping maybe.

Ha! Thanks Barb! I do paint fast, but most of this was done from memory.

Of coarse he sleeps 20+hrs. a day,
so If i can catch him whie he's sleeping I'll just have to open his eyes!
