Auld Lang Syne

An old friend from high school stopped by today. We used to
draw hot rods in class.  So I painted a hot rod for "Auld Lang Syne"

It looks fast!

are those pontiac fins?

Fast? The best timeslip is 9.00 in the quarter at 147 mph! I think that's fast!
"Totally NHRA leagal, it's a chopped '36' international truck body. The bed is fabricated from a pair of '58' Dodge quarter panels!

HOT ROD magazine has this on its Feb.2012 cover, and talks about it on page 28.
When I was a kid, we dreamt of this
so to see it is a promise of a Happy New Year!

Oh yea, I believe those are '57' pontiac fins!!

Doesn't it just make the New Years!

Okay... My friend Gary says the fins are off a '58' coronet (Dodge)
so...still it's cool!

I miss the days when you could tell cars apart--now they all look alike! The old classic cars are a treat for the eyes--like this painting!

Hi Helen! Cars are art for sure! I always enjoy seeing how people can
'tweek' them a bit.

Thanks Martine! Cars are a gas!

Thanks Celeste! We were just talking about how todays cars all sort of look the same.(They remind me of tennis shoes.)
So when I get a chance to see a car
with charactor, I'm all smiles!
