Up on the roof

I now have roof access! This ladder gets me on top of things.(hang on and don't look down!)
If you look down 1st Ave.N.E. you can see the new Twins stadium.
The back alley from the roof is a fresh perspective.
Across the street is an old tree in the middle of a parking lot.  I can see a series of roof  work.
And if I'm really good, maybe I'll see Santa come down this chimney! Anyway, I'm looking at
things and possibilities. Thanks for stopping up!

Bill, you're on top of the world :)
Love the photos! It's nice to see a parking lot built around a tree for a change~~~

Nice view but I get dizzy just looking at your pictures. Hold on tight,,, maybe get yourself a safety harness or something like that to be safe.

Bill, I hope you are looking at all your options. . . . .
It's been a year for both of us now and it really is time to get on with living. I've been blessed with a good heartfelt friend in my life now and I hope it happens for you too.

Thanks Jan! There's a cool breeze and most folks don't look up. I can relax and enjoy the view!

Hi Wet! That ladder is shaky, so getting down is done very carefully!

Thanks Nora! I need somebody to love!

Hey Celeste! What a view! Maybe this winter I'll make snowmen at the easel:)

This neighborhood is part of the warehouse district for the arts. So
I feel like I'm in the best location I can be. I am unpacking, and moving forward.

I really enjoyed this series. My son loves to climb rooftops. He needs to start taking pictures. Don't worry, he's 19.

I also wanted you to know that I'll be posting a new series of studies on Heaven on my Christian blog, which you seemed to enjoy.

Thanks for keeping entertained again.

I keep thinking about you climbing up that ladder hauling a paintbox. Bill, don't know what size paintbox you have, and, how you will haul your canvas up and down when wet with paint. A suggestion is to use a watercolor field box and pad to do studies you may want to complete in studio? A field box and pad would be easy to carry and climb.

Your adventure remind me of a book I read on Thomas Moran when he pretty much was retired to California. He was adventurous. In his old age, not saying your old, but his old age, his daughter would catch him sitting out on the window sill of his apartment building sketching the sunset. He loved the view heights offered.

Hey thanks wet! I should be able to remedy hauling stuff up with a rope & basket type set up.

I've always liked getting to the top of things. The view is well worth the efforts.

Thomas Moran, now there's an artist that's tops! Thanks!

Haha! You should be waiting for Santa Claus by now...
On the other hand, I find that tree kind of "mysterious." I guess they left that "only" tree in the parking lot for many reasons, one of which is to serve as a place of relaxation after a long drive! He or she can stay under it for like a minute or two, right?
