She's exquisite, Bill! Pastel? Really? Looks like an oil. Is it oil pastel?

Thanks Cyndi! I don't think they are oil pastels, I have those, but
used the more chalky type. I had to
wash my hands several times during
this. All the blending and smering
with my fingers,got messy.

Thanks Celeste! I was in the studio this weekend doing some work
for a local pub/eatery. (sign painting)
I needed to take a break and have some art time. Art time is good!

This is lovely! I really like the feel and look of pastels, but can't stand the dust; I probably would do better at it though than I do with oils (at least the control part). Oh well!

Thanks Judy! Pastels are the halfway point between painting and drawing.
As a kid, I drew all the time. It's good to revisit those roots!
(I don't mind the dust, but I have to stop and wash my hands, from all the smering and blending)

Thanks Bill for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments. It's why I do it, so people can move towards the truth. Your blog is beautiful. I love arts and crafts but don't think I could ever learn to paint. I love your work. It grabs me and make me lean it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Marissa! Thanks for stopping by.Your blog is helpful indeed!

Jan! Hi! Good to hear from you.

I have been without phone & internet for almost a week! Turns out the connection at the wall was bad. I have many messages and catching up to do.
I feel like Laural and Hardy in one person, I hope things get back to normal.

This picture is so intriguing and mysterious. The dark background and the light are smoky and sad. A beautiful and moving picture.
