I looked at your painting, and I thought 'You're darn right it's cold!'.It's like looking out my window, and that made me wonder where you are. Bloomington! Bill, I'm in Shoreview! I've never painted a snow scene before, you make me want to try- great painting!
Thanks Judy! I plan to paint my "pet glacier" soon as it arrives!(Ha) It shows up on the north side of the garage sometime in Janurary. Shoreview! We're neighbors! I've been following Staplton Kerns! He's got experiance in snow painting, so I'm attatched to his "Hip" Because he is!
Hi Bill, Thank you for the comment on my blog, its great to meet more artist around the twin cities. I really like your blog, I see that you are intrigued with landscape paintings too. My studio is in the uptown area, I have been around the warehouse district in Nord East to visit the Atelier around there. I really like the paintings you have on your blog and it looks like you are having fun too!! Great to meet you Bill and excited to see more of your work!!
Hahaha thanks Bill, yea that drawing on my profile page is of Alan Greenspan, I guess not a good description of how I look. Thanks for looking at the videos, I plan to do more when I have more time, as of now I am just swamped with painting before Christmas.
I like what you wrote here in the comments about how you used to draw cars when you were a youngster. My brother did too! guys love cars and well...that comes through in a painting of a car--the love of the shapes. Nicely done--I hope you do more!

Nice painting Bill, but I'm not looking forward to the real thing!
Thanks Cindy, I'm happy you like the cars I paint.
Used to draw them all the time when I was younger.
I think cars have a symbolic place in my art.
Hi Deb! Thanks, it was cold that day, along with the snow, a typical Minnesota 1st snow!!

Thanks Charles! Snow & cold can be depressing.
But if you would paint one of your models with a hot beverage, it could warm things up
immensely!
