Thanks Cindy! Although I'm a gilder by trade, I'm revisiting my love for painting! I'm hoping to develope an ability to capture and express what I see.
Nice overcast light, the reflections on the wet ground are a nice touch. I like seeing that bit of the window you're looking out of. Might be cool if you attempted another version that shows even more of the interior of your place. Maybe a potted plant or something sitting in the foreground window too.
Thanks Tony! Actually there's a lot of stuff by that window.(Things, objects for still life paintings) I had a pepper plant,(red habinero) there last winter. Along with an "old world" hibiscus. I painted them. It was the first painting I'd done in over 20 years! It's what started me painting again.
