I had a painting dream last night..it was a good one, but not nearly as good as this! I like the "celebratory" sense of it. It makes me smile!

Thanks Celeste! Thanks Judy!

We had this big elm tree. It was beautiful! Dutch elm took it. I was going to carve Renee on a swing into the trunk.
Now that I'm selling the house, the trunk has to go.
So this was a dream I had wanted to do.

Indeed you have created a very dreamy air to this painting, very well done.

You are selling a house, hope you will be happy wherever you go.

Thanks Jane!

Once I sell the house I'll be able to dream more,( ithink! :)

the painting is as good as what you would have carved...maybe better! I like how paintings and drawings are a way to immortalize an idea

This is wonderful, makes me smile. This would make a great image for note cards.

Thank You Celeste! I think I'm through cainsaw carving, it's not too forgiving.(dangerous)

Hi Barb! Thanks! :) It's good to make folks smile!
This is a rough drawing, i think i could refine it into a painting.
(another future project)
Nice to hear from you!

Dearest Bill, sometimes dreams aren't dreams. Please let me know what MN stands for as I am quite daft.

Hi Tina!
I had to think awhile on this one.
(Meaning sometimes dreams are nightmares?)
I have those too! :(

MN stands for Minnesota.

I took an online painting class a few years back. I had to enroll with a password.
It was suggested to give a name, what you were doing, and where you are from.
During the class, one of the other students asked if I had a blog.

"What's a blog?"

I was directed to blogspot.com and started one.
Since I was already signed up with
that name, I used it for my blog so the others could find me/my art.(I had no idea blogs reached as far as they do!)

Now I wonder if I should have had a differnt title, but it is what it is.

I agree, Bill! This is a lovely, whimsical painting. It reminds of me Peter Pan somehow! I think it is the shadows of the children.
