I went up to Skeeters cabin this week end for some R & R.
"Skeeter" or George, has been a friend for many years.
I've painted there, however this time I left my guns at home.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend my friend! I needed that!
And Thanks to Everyone! My Heart is filled with emotion,
as I continue along in this journey.

What you're doing is good. Someone else in the workshop I'm taking here in Maine is on this same journey too and also, probably your age. He's struggling like we are while trying to make sense of it all. I'm encouraged because he is painting again now and that helps me to believe I will paint again too.

Thanks Nora! I want to paint, my emotions are not at an "even keel" to stay the course of the paint. (I rub out and retry and give up!)
I will continue till something looks right!
Those brushes aren't going anywhere man, take all the time you need. In the mean time, if you feel you need an outlet, may I suggest some amateur photography?
I see you already have an eye for what you want to shoot, the camera has unlimited film, and nature has taken care of all the pigments, canvas, perspective, and lighting:) Just a thought.

a beautiful looking place! I knew a skeeter too...I think it is a mid-western nickname for sure. Good to have good friends (esp those named skeeter)
Thanks Wes! This digital camera gets me better
results than that 35 mm with all those lenses.
I took my first video with it, Skeeters raft and the rippels of water. It helps to observe moving water!

The finest paint is the one you are always painting in your main, this is yours for ever, nobody can take it from you private collection, sometimes this form of work is what we need, when this works well, then is the time were you can break out an open to the world doing the best of your best. Take your time, friend, you my loose hand mastery for that you will accumulate wisdom.
