Mornin' Coffee II

When I got to work, I saw folks leaveing to
go to work with coffee in hand.
I put my work aside, and pulled out the
palette & paint.
Mornin' Coffee sure is popular around here.
I wonder if the rest of America has a cup-o-joe
to go on..let me know!

Nice to be able to paint at work~!

Lovely zig-zag composition. Nice variations of greys. Very charming piece overall!

Is that a mini in the foreground? Too perfect. :)

Thanks Cindy! Lately all I want to do is paint.
I hope I'm ok?!
My "boss" lets me paint as long as I get my work done.
(I"m my own boss, and I meet my deadlines!:)
Yes I believe that is a mini cooper!

Being in retirement is like being your own boss. After many, many years of "going to the office," I kind of developed the attitude that I owe myself the time I spend "doin' my own thing." Back in those working days, I always had my cup-o-joe to go.

Strong abstract shapes, and I like the bold dark line you use throughout. Love the very bold, white steam off that cuppa joe!

Hi Lokelani! I agree! I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses"
I had to wake up and smell the coffee!

Thanks Judy! This was a fun one to paint. The person walking seemed to be all about that cuppa joe! It's what sparked this post!
This was not painted from a photo, but from
real life.
Of coarse I had to "remember" a lot as the person kept walking as I painted.
I wanted to capture that "Mmmm coffee" moment!
